Senior Back-End Developer

Who we are

We are forward earth, a Stealth Venture from Berlin building an exciting SAAS product in the ESG/climate tech space. Our founders and management team has several years of experience in the domain, including a large exit, and is now aiming to disrupt the whole ESG/climate tech space with a novel approach. We are currently growing our team to make our first product launch a success!

What you will do

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as a full-stack engineer with a passionate hybrid team. Together with strong partners from the ESG space we are creating a solution which is able to turn the market upside down. You will get to work closely with those partners to ensure our software is able to solve the problems of carbon management at scale.

On a daily basis you will:

• work on a product that can enable thousands of companies to reduce their emissions footprint
• write and review code and technical documentation
• collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to define and develop new features that make our product a success
• be responsible for resolving bugs in our product

Skills and Experience

We are a hybrid team with a good portion of the engineering team being fully remote. This makes strong communication skills both written and verbal a must.

For this position you should have the following experience:

• 5 or more years of professional software engineering experience
• 3 or more years of experience building REST APIs
• 3 or more years of experience shipping production web applications 
• 2 or more years of experience working with NestJS and/or TypeScript on the backend
• Experience of working in early stage startups
• Experience in maintaining a high quality codebase with tests
• Experience building iframe embeddable frontends  is a plus
• Experience with AWS infrastructure is a plus
